WELCOME TO KARWAN-E-ILM FOUNDATION

Karwan-e-Ilm Foundation (KIF) has been working in the field of education with the aim of uplifting the needy but brilliant students coming from all four provinces of the country as well as Gilgit Baltistan, FATA and Azad Kashmir irrespective of color, caste or region of country. This noble cause was initiated in the year 2002, when for the very first time in the history of Pakistan, the esteemed magazine monthly Urdu Digest established a department with the name of Karwan-e-Ilm Department and conducted awards ceremony in the honor of first three positions holders of matric exams from the eight boards of Intermediate and Secondary education based in the province of Punjab. At the same time, financial assistance program was started for needy students among these position holders. After observing the positive impact and response of this first initiative, the management of Urdu Digest decided to continue and extend these services at a country wide level. This led to registration of Karwan-e-Ilm Foundation as a Not-for-Profit organization in the year 2004.

Alhumdulilah, with the financial assistance of KIF, every year hundreds of students have been completing their higher education in the fields of Medical, Engineering, Sciences, Technology, Commerce, Management and Social Sciences and becoming an earning hand for their families.

The foundation not only provides scholarship but also looks after the disabled and ill parents of these students. A special attention is also given to single mothers who are provided with finances for their household and medical expenses so that these brilliant students of homeland can continue their education with full peace of mind and attention. In addition to that, teacher training, career counseling, online education, and enablement of disabled student projects are being run by this organization.

KIF carries all of its activities with this belief that Pakistan can become strengthen, progressive and a peaceful country if these needy but brilliant students complete their higher education and become active members of the society.

Besides its regular services, KIF has extended its services for the community to help affected citizens in the best possible manner during the times of crises, such as natural disasters and pandemic.
